Why we love peppermint leaves
A cool, crisp finish
Peppermint makes a refreshing full stop to the evening meal, bright and clean on the palate.
Menthol does the magic
Peppermint naturally contains menthol, which gives that icy-sweet, cooling sensation on the tongue.
Naturally caffeine-free
With no caffeine at all, it's an easy choice for after dinner or late at night.
Good to know
No special cautions for most people in normal tea amounts.
Peppermint is a natural hybrid of watermint and spearmint, first described in England in the late 1600s. The fields around Mitcham in Surrey became famous for it in the 1700s, and English peppermint was prized around the world. A pot of mint tea has since become an after-dinner tradition in homes and restaurants everywhere.
